About the project

SHARCON TECH is an educational project on modelling electromechanical transients under sharcon-tech.pro. Its purpose is to make the route from a physical law to a verifiable calculation clear and reproducible.

Who the course is for

The materials are for engineering students, new electric-drive developers and engineers revisiting modelling fundamentals. The extended course targets third-year university study and assumes electrical and mechanical fundamentals, derivatives, integrals and complex numbers. The mathematical tools are reviewed and applied throughout.

How we teach

Each lesson connects physical meaning, equations, a numerical experiment and a check of the result. A DC motor provides the common example: simple enough to introduce, yet rich enough to show energy exchange, feedback and load effects. The course can grow through additional lectures, models and experimental studies.

Scope and limitations

Lessons 16–20 introduce a classical synchronous generator and the basics of transient stability. Detailed machine models, field calculations and power-converter design remain outside the scope. Teaching parameters are not equipment nameplate data.

Inspectable calculations

Base-course plots are generated in Python. Generator laboratory plots are calculated in the browser and can be exported as CSV. Assumptions and units are stated explicitly, and analytical checks are included wherever available.

Contact and updates

The public project address is sharcon-tech.pro. No other personal contact details are published here. Each lesson displays its revision date.
